A resolution on new years……

 

its has been about 2 months in the making now….. what am i talking about???? well take a look at the pic above…. MY “Razer Barracuda hp-1 Channel Gaming Headphones” broke about 2 months ago now and ever since then i have been involved in a E-MAIL BATTLE with “razer” trying to get my joints replaced, about 15-20 emails and $20.00 (for shipping these MUTHAFUCKAS BACK) later i got an email from these CLOWNS with my FRICKIN tracking number from UPS!!!! ……so providing that everything goes well with UPS i should have my babies back on JANUARY THE 5th of 2009…. so the way i see it is im getting a long awaited resolution on my headphones!

 

SO i think its going to be the BEST 2009 EVER!!!!!

I’m a “TRAVI” fan myself and i cannot wait to hear more music from this dude, and hopefully now that he is with “nappy boy” he can get a lot  more material out to the world…..but the thing is…. when someone like Travis McCoy gets signed to a label that is run by an artist, the person in travi’s position is at the will of someone like  T-pain witch can never be good…. meaning travi will not be able to drop when his material is ready he may be forced to wait until t-pain drops then piggy back on t-pain’s promotions so he can then release his album, but hopefully we WONT have that problem =] and we can all BE HAPPY!!!!! yay

Im going to start this off with a few facts

1. this summer when gas was $4.00 a gallon plies sold over 250,000 albums in his first week
2. his newest album “da realist” sold 100k in its first week out the gate (no need to tell you what financial probs the world is in right now)
3. this is his 3ed album in the last 16 months

Now with that said when i first was hearing of plies (who is from my same area in Florida) i was at least feeling like “THIS NIKKA IS NOT SOME SHIT I WOULD LISTEN TO” if you know me then you might know that my music taste can sometimes be VERY Very critical/picky weather that’s hip-hop,rap,electronic,ect…. and other times i could just listen to any old local dude on the radio equal to solja boi/gucci mane (idk whats wrong with me)  Back to the topic…… 

one day on, one of my Music downloading SPREES i some how got my hands on a plies album “definition of real” i popped it in and just started JAMMIN….. with all my previous “PLIES IS WACK AS HELL” shit out the window, so that got me to thinking….. why/how is plies appealing? how is he selling albums when ppl are Falling flat on their FACES? me being the person i am i did a little soul searching……

first off Plies SKILL wise Cannot Stand up TO …..ANYBODY really in today’s rap environment and i dont think too many ppl would argue with me on that one…. i dont even think plies is the “BEST lyrically” in his state of Florida (would prolly give that to RICKY ROSS) but still with all that being said i will and have listined to a whole lot more plies then Rick ross easialy….

what i think really sells plies to ME and i guess everyone that spent money on his albums(if its not the songs with NE-yo) is plies’s ability to connect with PEOPLE….(think about it)…… he may not give you what he gives you in a nice clean or crative package but its really just what you wanted, on everyone of his albums he MAKES Sure that he shouts out to people that are in Prison (now you see ppl doing it all the time) and for the most part everyone knows someone that is in prison and the way he lays his tracks you can eisaly relate to what he is saying, plies tends to talk about the emotion involved in the “GOON shit” that he talks about on his records witch can be very refreshing, plies has hooks that are nice, BEATS that are always on point and always at least a few tracks that are defiantly geared towards his female listeners (i roc those too…. just when im alone tho….=])

I said all of that to say this….. if you have been sleeping on plies …..just check em out for yourself ….a little open minded-ness cant hurt
